Midwest Cabin Services · Owner Kyle Miron

Interior Painting in Rapid River, MI

Winter is the right season to settle in and refresh the inside of your home or cabin. Kyle brings careful, tidy interior painting to homes and cabins across the Upper Peninsula while the snow is on the ground.

What does interior painting from Midwest Cabin Services include?

Interior painting from Midwest Cabin Services covers the walls, ceilings, trim and doors inside your home or cabin, handled by an owner-operated crew based in Rapid River. We start with a walk-through so we understand the rooms, the light and the look you want, then agree on a color plan with you before any paint is opened. Floors and furniture are covered and protected, surfaces are prepped, and the paint goes on room by room. When the work is finished, we clean up and leave the space ready to live in.

We paint interiors for homeowners across our service area, including cabins and log homes where the rooms inside are painted surfaces rather than bare log. Winter suits this work well: the house is closed up, and our exterior crews are not working on the logs. Call us or request a quote, and we will talk through your project and what it needs.

What we paint

Every room in the house is fair game. These are the surfaces we paint most.

Walls

Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and hallways, painted in the colors you settle on during the walk-through.

Ceilings

Clean, even ceilings, including the tall and vaulted rooms that are common in cabins and lake houses.

Trim and doors

Baseboards, casings, window trim and interior doors, prepped and painted so the edges stay crisp.

Cabin and log home interiors

Painted rooms inside cabins and log homes, from bedrooms to lofts, done with the same care as the outside of the home.

This winter

Why book interior painting this winter

Exterior stains and sealants need warm, dry weather to cure, so our log home and deck work runs from spring to fall. From November to March our crews are off the logs, and indoor work fits the season. Painting the inside now also lets you plan spring exterior work with us while you are at it.

“… I haven’t seen a job they’ve done that didn’t impress me … If you have a log home these are the guys to call!”

Questions

Interior painting questions, answered

What affects the cost of interior painting?

The cost depends mainly on how many rooms you want painted, their size and ceiling height, the condition of the surfaces, how much trim and how many doors are included, and how many color changes are involved. We give you a quote after the walk-through, so it reflects your actual rooms rather than a guess.

How long does a typical room take?

How long a room takes depends on its size and how much prep it needs, so we do not promise a fixed number of days. When you request a quote for interior painting, we look at the rooms with you and send a schedule along with the quote, so you know what to expect before the work starts.

Do you work in occupied homes?

Yes, we can paint rooms in a home that is lived in. We cover floors and furniture, protect what stays in the room, and clean up as we finish. During the walk-through we talk about which rooms to do first and what needs to be moved, so the work fits around the way you live.

Which towns do you serve?

We are based in Rapid River, Michigan, and we paint interiors in Rapid River, Marquette and Traverse City, MI, and in Green Bay and Howard, WI, plus surrounding areas. If you are near one of those towns but unsure whether we reach you, give us a call and we will let you know.

Do you also do exterior log staining?

Yes. Exterior staining is a core part of our work, and it runs in warmer months when stain and sealant can cure properly. Interior painting is a separate service. If you own a log home, read about our log home exterior restoration, and we can plan your spring exterior work while we paint inside this winter.

Ready to paint this winter?
